I used to be a real tree snob. I would go out and cut down a real tree at a tree farm – not just ANY tree farm, the local tree farm and leather shop. No kidding!
Anyway, they closed.
So, we went fake a few years ago when it became too hard to get a real tree with a toddler in the house and since we travel at Christmas, we had to pay someone to feed the cat and the tree. It became too much. Then we would get too lazy to take the tree down until sometime in January when it became a fire hazard and the needles were a lovely shade of brown.
Maybe when the kids get bigger and can fight with DH about putting up the tree, then we will get a real one.
And maybe some leather chaps.
I put mine up early to get me in the mood so I need a fake one.
