Yeah, it’s not an original title. So be it.
Six years ago I was very pregnant and ready to get that baby out of my tummy. She came out finally on 04/04/04 at 4:20 a.m. Since the cord was around her neck, I could not wait another 24 minutes to make her have one of the coolest birth dates ever. At that time it was freaking cold. Three years later on April 16th, there were flurries blowing around.
This weekend – 70s and 80s. YES! I love it because DH and I can get out our laptop computers and do work outside (I have a freelance gig I needed to finish last month) while the kids play. The in-laws are heading down from Yankeeland and we should have a great time this beautiful weekend celebrating the sixth birthday of my wonderful daughter and the resurrection of Jesus.
DD has decided to have her party at a local gymnastics school where the kids can run around and go nuts. Being my crazy kid, she had me request on her Hannah Montana invitations (a show which she does not watch) that the kids wear pajamas they can do gymnastics in. She also wants a Littlest Pet Shop cake. Being my generous child, she is having her friends bring canned food for a local food pantry instead of gifts for her. I am sure our evening will conclude at the “cook in front of you place” where she loves to eat.
For Easter, we will celebrate at church and then come home to an Easter dinner. I got ham because it is a Southern tradition and if I had lamb my father-in-law would implode. He hates lamb and the smell of it. Good thing he is not an Israelite.
Then it is back to the grind on Monday where we have a busy, busy week and I have a massive project due.
Sigh. I wish I could do it on my laptop outside.
