Last August, William E. Sparkman Jr, was found dead in a cemetery in Kentucky. He was only wearing his glasses and socks. His wrists were bound with duct tape, and a rope around his neck was tied to a tree with the word “Fed” written on his chest in black ink. At the time authorities thought it was a hate crime.
Today, the media is reporting that Sparkman committed suicide. One of his “friends” claims it was because Sparkman’s life insurance policy would not pay out if his death were a suicide.
The serious side of me is mad at this “friend” who knew Sparkman was suicidal. Did that person help? What about talking to the beneficiaries (who those people are, police would not say).
The snarky side of me is wondering why go through all this trouble? Too many details! Use the KISS principle: Keep It Simple Stupid!
